-- Rapidly Expanding Semiconductor Design Consultancy Appoints Elizabeth Hughes and David Moreno as Vice Presidents --
Woburn, Mass., - April 11, 2000 - ASIC Alliance Corporation, a leading supplier of ASIC, SOC and FPGA design and verification consulting services, today announced the appointment of Elizabeth Hughes to the position of vice president of human resources, and David Moreno to the position of vice president of operations and support. In these positions, Hughes and Moreno will support ASIC Alliance's continued growth.
As vice president of human resources, Elizabeth Hughes is charged with managing human resources, supporting organizational growth, working with the merger/acquisition team and continuing leadership development. She will also develop and manage ASIC University, ASIC Alliance's ongoing program of formal and informal education, training and professional development that is provided to all employees.
Prior to joining ASIC Alliance, Hughes was vice president of corporate human resources at Renaissance Worldwide, a global IT and management-consulting firm providing business and technology services. There, she was involved in creating the human resources infrastructure, designing human resources programs and providing organizational support. Her past experience also includes being a part of the original team that started a company for Fidelity in the outsourcing area. Overall, Hughes brings more than 20 years of human resources experience at large, multi-national organizations including Lechmere, Analog Devices, GenRad and Prudential Insurance Company of America, to her new position at ASIC Alliance. Hughes resides in Lexington, Mass.
David Moreno, vice president of operations and support, will oversee all of ASIC Alliance's operational activities, including the set up of the corporation's remote Design and Verification Centers.
Prior to joining ASIC Alliance, Moreno served as vice president of technical operations at Bus-Tech, a provider of connectivity solutions for data centers. There he directed all of the company's technical operations. Moreno has over 20 years of experience, including executive engineering positions at Databook, Software House and Digital Equipment Corporation. He began his career as a design engineer at Polaroid. He currently resides in Charlestown, Mass.
