ASIC ALLIANCE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF DR. SAMUEL H. FULLER TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Woburn, Mass., - October 23, 2000 - ASIC Alliance Corporation, a leading provider of high-end design engineering solutions, today announced the election of Dr. Samuel H. Fuller to its Board of Directors. Currently, Fuller is vice president of research and development at Analog Devices in Norwood, Mass., the world leader in high-performance signal processing solutions. He will provide ASIC Alliance Corporation's board with a deeper understanding and unique perspective on high-tech research and development.
Fuller, who resides in Sherborn, Mass., joined Analog Devices as vice president of research and development in early 1998. At Analog Devices, Fuller leads work on technology strategy, design tools and methods, and university research programs. Prior to joining Analog Devices, he was vice president of research for Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was responsible for establishing and leading Digital's worldwide research organization with laboratories in California, Massachusetts and Europe. Under his leadership, these laboratories developed technologies that led to the introduction of RISC technology, innovative distributed software systems and Internet technologies such as the AltaVista search engine. Prior to Digital, Fuller was an associate professor of computer science and electrical engineering at Carnegie-Mellon University. He has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering and is a Fellow of the IEEE and AAAS.
