ZAIQ TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES PREP™ 2.0 - NEXT GENERATION OF DESIGN VERIFICATION METHODOLOGY

Woburn, Mass., - March 19, 2001 - Zaiq Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of complete design engineering solutions, today announced the release of the second version of its Pre-configured Reusable Environment and testing Platform (PREP™). PREP provides chip and system designers with a pre-fabricated verification environment for complex designs, along with a methodology to comprehensively and efficiently test those designs. PREP 2.0 improves upon Zaiq's original PREP environment by supporting a powerful, flexible, extensible traffic dataflow management model, enabling designers to quickly and easily test network traffic across a variety of standard packet models, including: Ethernet, TCP/IP, PPP and MPLS.
PREP 2.0 implementation provides project-specific configuration and customization enabling the reuse of technology and methodology from project to project. PREP 2.0 includes standardized structures and methods for a variety of verification tasks, including statistic gathering and monitoring, directory structures, library additions, test invocation and revision control. It presents simple, top-level test control mechanisms, enabling users to produce customized working verification environments within two weeks, thus reducing a project's total development cycle by up to six weeks. This allows for less time between product developments and faster time-to-revenue.
